| Deleting Private Messages |
You can delete Private Messages from your PM Inbox, Outbox, Sentbox, or Savebox, as well as from the page that displays the actual message. There are a variety of ways to do this, each of which is explained below.
 Note: If you delete a message from your Outbox, the system removes it from the Inbox of the member to whom you originally sent it. Please note that if a member receives notification of a new Private Message and you delete it before he or she picks it up, it might cause confusion because the member will be expecting to see a new message that does not actually appear.
 Tip: In each of your PM folders except the Outbox, there is an indicator (shown below) that lets you know how full that folder is, in terms of the limit placed on the storage space. As the percentage nears 100%, we recommend that you delete messages that you do not need to keep. You can keep your Inbox and Sentbox clear by saving the messages there (How?); this moves them to your Savebox.

| To delete one particular message: |
| 1) |
Navigate to the page (Inbox, Outbox, Sentbox, or Savebox) where the message that you want to delete is listed.

Open the message you want to delete by clicking on the Subject line link.
|
| 3) |
Click the Delete Message button at the bottom right of the list of messages.
|

A confirmation message appears.
|
| 4) |
Click the Yes button.
|
|
You return to the page you were on when you opened the message.

| To delete multiple messages: |
| 1) |
Navigate to the page (Inbox, Outbox, Sentbox, or Savebox) where the messages that you want to delete are listed.

In the Mark column, select the check box of every message you want to delete.
|
|
Tip: You can use the Mark all link to select all check boxes, simultaneously, and the Unmark all link to deselect all currently marked check boxes.

Click the Delete Marked button at the bottom right side of the list.

A confirmation message appears.
|
| 4) |
Click the Yes button.
|
|
You return to the page you were on when you marked the messages.

| To delete all messages: |
| 1) |
Navigate to the page (Inbox, Outbox, Sentbox, or Savebox) where the messages that you want to delete are listed.

Click the Delete All button.
|
|
A confirmation message appears.
|
| 3) |
Click the Yes button.
|
|
You return to the page you were on when you deleted all the messages. A message appears on the page, indicating that you have no messages in that particular folder (Inbox, Outbox, etc.).
