| What If You Forget Your Password? |
| If you forget your password, there are two things that you can do: |
Before you log in to the forum, be sure to read the following:
• Why log in?
Logging in is necessary if you want to post messages, view the membership list, view member profiles, send and receive private messages, change your profile, and access some of the other features that the forum offers.
• Registration and activation
Before you can log in, you must register for the forum (How?) and then activate your account (How?). Registration is free.
• Enabling "cookies" for the forum
Allowing the forum to set a cookie on your computer will enhance your experience using the forum. If you want the system to show you which posts are new since your last visit and enable features such as automatic logins, you will need to allow a cookie for www.ZCrew.net/ZCrew_BB/.
Rest assured that the cookie does not transmit any personal information to us; it is simply used to make some things on the forum more personal for you.
 Tip: Most browser security settings enable cookies for all web sites by default. Therefore, you may not need to change any of your browser settings to enjoy these forum enhancements.
 Note: How you enable cookies depends on your particular browser, but it is usually a security option in a "Tools" menu. Consult your browser instructions. Our forum administrators cannot provide support for browsers. However, if you are able to log in to the forum, you might try asking for help in the Help forum (How?). One of the other users may see your question and provide some helpful advice.
• AOL Users:
If you use AOL, you mayneed to log in to the Internet as you normally do and then switch to a different browser before logging in to the forum. AOL and a few other Internet Service Providers change the IP address assigned to you while you are actually online. If you do not switch to a different browser, you will not be able to create and post messages, even when you have logged in successfully.

If you kept the activation message that you received after you registered for the forum, you can consult that message, which lists both your username and password. |

If you no longer have the activation message that you received after you registered for the forum, follow the steps below. |

Note: The instructions below require that you enter the same username and e-mail address that are currently defined in your user profile. If you have forgotten your username, you will need to re-register with a different e-mail address than the one currently defined in your profile or contact a forum administrator for help. How?

If you are not already there, go to the log in page by clicking Log in at the top of any forum page. |

Click I forgot my password at the bottom of the log in form.
A new form appears, asking for your username and e-mail address.

In the Username text box, enter the username that is currently defined in your user profile. |

In the E-mail address text box, enter the e-mail address that is currently defined in your user profile.
Note: Be sure to enter your username and e-mail address correctly. Your new password will be sent to this e-mail address, and it will only work with your current username.

Click the Submit button.
The system creates a new password for you and sends it to the e-mail address that you specified in step 4.

Watch for the e-mail message from the forum in your e-mail Inbox. It should arrive within minutes. |

When the message arrives, click on the new password activation link in the body of the message.
The new password that the system assigned to you is now activated, and you may log in with it. How?
Tip: Your new password will not be easy to type or remember. It is a good idea to log in with it right away, open your user profile, and change it to one that you will remember. How?
